Maya Jama gets new tattoo as she ‘lands job to host Brit Awards’ for first time

The star got inked before partying at a nightclub with pals

MAYA Jama seems to be in the mood to celebrate - and has taken the party to South Africa with a wild night out and tattoos.

Following news that she's set to replace Mo Gilligan as this year's Brit Awards host, the Love Island host shared pictures on Instagram of her getting an ankle tattoo.

While waiting to go back into the villa for the latest Love Island: All Stars twist, Maya teased her new ink while beaming from the artist's chair.

Lying on her front, Maya was grinning while the unseen artist worked around her ankle.

She's yet to reveal what the new body art actually is, but it seems it may have been a spur-of-the-moment decision, with her taking a photo of a gumball machine that declares 'you get what you get'.

The machine is a roulette of tattoo stencils, with many going rogue and letting it decide what they're getting done.

Later on, she was seen partying at a nightclub with pals, dancing the night away underneath strobe lights in jeans and a white tank top.

Her latest night on the town comes shortly after it was revealed she was in line to take another massive leap in her career by becoming the host of the Brits.

The prestigious annual event is due to take place in March, and celebrates the who's who of British music.

The charismatic presenter will be the first female host since 2017 — when Emma Willis and Dermot O'Leary had the honours.

It comes after Maya, who is dating rapper Stormzy, stole the show with a red-carpet reporting role when main host Mo Gilligan was in charge in 2022.

“Maya is the perfect host for the Brit awards this year and has the energy for the all-star show," a source told The Sun's Bizarre.

“She is the hottest presenter in the UK right now and is ideal for the new ensemble presenting cast.

“There has been six years of solo male hosts, so it’s time to mix up the formula and there is a lot of buzz about the new line-up.”
