GREG Hemphill has revealed using Viagra has been “magic” for his marriage to Balamory star wife Julie Wilson Nimmo.
Greg, 54, says he went to the doctors after he was a flop between the sheets with CBeebies actress Julie, 52.
But the actor got a lift when he was recommended the sex tablet - and has encouraged other men with the same problem to do the same.
The married couple opened up on health matters in their fifties in the new BBC Scotland show Jules and Greg’s Wild Swim.
Greg told his wife: “I’ll be absolutely honest with you, I’ve admired your honesty up until now where you’ve been talking about the menopause and stuff like that.
“I think the male equivalent of that truly is, I can’t really put it into words because I get too mortified.”

He then pretended his finger is drooping and said: “The male equivalent of the menopause is that.”
Balamory star Julie responded: “Being in your fifties and stuff like that, these things come up.” But the couple fall into hysterics after she admits, “That was the wrong thing to say.”
The couple went on to discuss fixing their issues in the bedroom.
Greg said: “I remember the first time I ever happened across this wonder drug Viagra and it was magic.

“I’ve got plenty to say about this goddamn thing.
“I went to the doctors, I said hey doctor how you doing? So I was having sex last night and it didn’t, didn’t...and he went ‘ah’.
“He knew right away what I was talking about and I think in that moment I stumbled into the great unsaid between men and women.”
He then hilariously told viewers: “I’m here to tell you, get the helping hand.”
Julie went on: “I remember feeling a bit hurt like oh no, Greg doesn’t fancy me anymore.
“I think woman do think that when the Viagra packet comes out and you’re like oh.
“But actually, get in amongst it.”
She added that the couple weren’t like pop legend Sting and his wife - the ex Police singer once said he had seven-hour long tantric sex sessions with Trudie Styler.
The Scot Squad star joked: “As long people don’t think we’re flipping...remember years ago Sting and his wife. We’re not that.”

Greg added: “We’re the opposite of that. They were like breathe, I’m saying go to the chemist and buy a pill.”
The couple met on the comedy show Pulp Video in 1995 before marrying four years later. They have two children together.
