The Scots presenter shared that she misses them

Phillip Schofield quit This Morning in May of last year after a feud erupted between him and his co-host when a workplace affair came to light.

It was later publicly revealed that he had dated a “much younger” colleague while married.

The privacy of the other party has been protected as he is not a public figure, but he is said to have been a teenager when Schofield got involved with him.

Holly Willoughby then also went on to leave the programme after fourteen years of presenting.

That happened in the wake of an alleged kidnapping plot which saw Gavin Plumb, 36, of Essex, accused of contacting a “hitman” in the US and allegedly making a restraint kit as part of a plan to snatch the mum of three.

ITV’s Lorraine commented on the painful situation, sharing that she missed both presenters.

The Scot sighed: “If you’d told me at the start of [last] year that Holly [Willoughby] and Phil [Schofield] wouldn’t be [on This Morning], I wouldn’t have believed you.

“But you know what? The show will continue. She’ll be fine. He’ll be
fine. Eventually. It will all be OK.”

“They’re good people,” she continued wistfully. “I miss them.
They’re smashing, they made me laugh a lot and every time I was on
This Morning as a guest, they were a delight.”

“When Rosie and I went on The Cube, Phillip said he’d never laughed so much in his life because we were so hopeless at task one, then got really good.”
