THE Apprentice winner Dr. Leah Totton has opened up on just how much contact she has with business partner Lord Alan Sugar and the answer may shock you.

Dr. Leah won the BBC contest back in 2013 and is one of the few show champions to have remained in business with the mogul since.

She bagged the all-important £250,000 which she used to help to boost her now thriving cosmetic and aesthetics business,

It proved such a success that she and Lord Sugar eventually launched her spin-off skincare brand as they cemented their formidable partnership.

Having gone from speaking every day, Dr. Leah confessed that they now talk less frequently but still catches up with him once a month.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Dr. Leah said: "Initially, I needed a lot of support from him and in the first year after I won the show, I spoke to him every day.

"We were setting up the business and so I did speak to him almost every day and I think out of any of the winners of the show, I've had the most support and mentorship from him.

"I didn't necessarily have the same level of business knowledge or experience as some of the other winners so with me, he was very involved."

Dr. Leah admits she is super thankful for Lord Sugar and the guidance he gave to her and confessed that it allowed her to be more confident and stand on her own two-feet when it came to the day-to-day running of the business.

As such, she admitted that she was able to work more independently on every day tasks and check in with Lord Sugar as and when was required.

She added: "Now, I have more experience and we are ten years down the line, I speak to him monthly now.

"We speak at the board meetings but he is always at the end of the phone if I needed him for anything business-related."

Dr. Leah previously told us that if she were ever offered the chance to sit alongside her business partner on the advisory panel, like series one winner Tim Campbell, then she would jump at the chance.

She told us: "I'd absolutely do it, I love the show, I am still a fan of the show.

"I'm really a fan of entrepreneurship and it gave me such an amazing platform for my business and really introduced me to the world of business and is something that will always stay with me.

"I'd absolutely do it given the opportunity in the future."

Speaking about how she would potentially approach the role, she admitted she would look to follow in Karren's footsteps and revealed her admiration for the businesswoman.

Leah said: "I really like Karren and she does have a very calm and softer side to her than you may see portrayed.

"I find her very supportive and she's had a fantastic career in business.

"Karren is someone who I'd want to emulate really."
