STRICTLY'S Giovanni Pernice made a major blunder when starring on The One Show tonight.
The dance expert made an awkward dig at Strictly Come Dancing viewers, which prompted Alex Jones to call him out.
Chatting on The One show with Alex and her fellow host Ronan Keating, Giovanni explained that his new tour (Let Me Entertain You) has music from through the decades.
Alex stated: "There is a section, they tell me, like an eighties section.
"I'm interested to hear more about this particular bit."
The Italian choreographer then detailed: "Shell suit involved, one hundred percent.
"I'll tell you what it is, it's dedicated to the audience obviously, because as you can imagine, Strictly, there is an audience from the eighties, also from the seventies and the sixties.
"So I involved a lot of good songs from the era.
"I always said I am an old soul in a young body."
However, he seemed to make a slip-up by implying that the Strictly demographic is "old".
To which Alex swiped: "Is he saying that the audience are old?
"That we are old?"
Giovanni, Alex and Ronan then erupted into laughter at his obvious blunder.
The star was also given a chance to share his feelings when host Alex broached the sensitive subject regarding his recent feud with actress Amanda Abbington.
Alex asked: "There has been a bit in the press recently about you and your Strictly partners. How would you describe yourself as a teacher?"
To this, Giovanni had his say, stating: "Well, I'm definitely a perfectionist.
"I like to- like everybody else, like every competitor, I like to win."
He continued: "For me it's more about, I want to take out the best out of my partners.
"Especially if I see there is talent there. I want to do my job properly."
