Inside where The Traitors stay overnight – as it’s revealed they don’t stay in Scots castle
STARS of The Traitors are secretly transported to an airport hotel after appearing onscreen at their Highland castle.
Fans of the hit BBC show watch conspiring contestants discover who has been ‘killed’ over a luxurious breakie in the historic pile.
But instead of staying at the 19th century Ardross Castle they are actually put up at the £70-a-night Courtyard by Marriott after filming is done for the day.
It’s a 40 minutes drive away and is next to Inverness Airport.
The confession was made by movie star Alan Cumming who presents the US version of the show which is shot at the same location.
He told site: "They all stayed in the airport hotel in the Inverness airport. How glamorous – you come to Scotland, and you stay in the Inverness airport hotel.
“I stayed in a little house in Inverness. But I had a room in the castle where I would get made up and dressed.
“It had a huge bed in it. So I did actually sleep quite often, but not overnight.
Fans were left shocked by the stunning revelation.
One said: “OMG! I always imagined they all stayed in individual little cottages on the castle estate somewhere – this is way less romantic than I thought.”
