The heartwarming series sees them visit various air shows, steam rallies, county fairs and vintage festivals around the UK.

Together they meet some of the UK's most talented crafters, makers and tinkerers, as well as those who could use some help along the way.

Fans tuning in tonight to watch much-loved actor Sir David were given an extra treat when he dropped one of his catchphrases.

In tribute to Pop Larkin, who he played on the Darling Buds of May in the early 90s, he could be heard saying "perfick" when he was offered a sandwich by Jay.

Fans of the iconic show, will remember Pop using this phrase a lot on the show - especially when it came to food.

Tonight viewers couldn't help expressing their joy at Sir David being back on TV, with one tweeting: "David Jason back on the box.

"Whoever thought of this should be knighted pronto."

While another said: "David Jason is bona fide national treasure."

This one commented: "Fantastic to see Sir David Jason & @jayblades_ show. Love the sandwich scene!

"The show has so much warmth & is a smooth 30 mins of pure TV.

"Anything with Sir David staring in is a must watch!"

Speaking about the new series and working with Jay, Sir David told The Sun: "We share the same sense of humour and we’re both open for mickey-taking. Because we can take it, we can give it.

"I’m always having a go at him for being a fool, and he’s always having a go at me because I snore.

"We get on famously. It’s that sort of camaraderie, that ability to say something to someone and know they’re not going to take offence; they’re going to try to think of something clever to come back with. That’s an unusual gift."

Meanwhile on Saturday. David broke his silence on an Only Fools and Horses comeback after fans went wild for new Del Boy pictures.

The iconic actor played Derek Trotter - aka Del Boy - in the iconic British comedy from 1981 to 2003.

Fans of the sitcom are still obsessed with it more than 20 years on since its final episode, and were delighted to see Sir David dressed in character earlier this month.

Sir David had attended the annual two-day Only Fools and Horses Appreciation Society convention in Milton Keynes.

The star opened up to The Sun's TV Mag at the weekend about whether the show could make a comeback.

He said: "Well, to be honest with you, we would like that to happen very much because not only did we enjoy it so much, but so did most of the British public. Because of that, we would love to do it."

But before Only Fools fans could get too excited at the prospect, he added: "I don’t think we could do another episode of Only Fools And Horses because the brains behind it, Mr John Sullivan, is unfortunately no longer with us."

Indeed John passed away in April 2011 aged 64 from pneumonia.

Meanwhile actor Roger Lloyd Pack - who played Trigger - died in January 2014, while John Challis, who played Boycie in the show, died in September 2021.
