‘National disgrace!’ fume Coronation Street fans as soap loses usual ITV slot in schedule shake-up
CORONATION Street fans are fuming about the latest schedule switch-up, which will see the ITV soap pushed to a later timeslot.
Fans have taken to social media and voiced their disappointment after it was announced that the long-running soap would not be airing at its usual time.
Coronation Street has undergone another temporary schedule shakeup just weeks after being pulled off air because of the FA Cup.
Once again the football will be disrupting the much-loved ITV soap as show bosses have confirmed today on X(Twitter) that episodes will be airing on different times and days this week.
Corrie will still air as planned on Monday, 22 April and Wednesday, 24 April, from 8pm to 9pm.
Taking over its usual time slot will be the live coverage of the FA Cup action as Tottenham Hotspur take on Manchester City on Friday, with an extra episode squeezed in on Tuesday.

The January 23 episode will air from 9pm, after The Martin Lewis Money Show, on ITV and ITVX.
The news was announced on the social media platform with the caption: “Here to let you know about a slight schedule change this week. Never miss an episode on ITVX.”
Disappointed fans swarmed the comments section as one penned: “Why do the schedules have to keep changing because of the "b****y football"? Can you not show these games on ITV2 or 3?”

Another added: “Corrie on past nine is a national disgrace (except when it was Maya week because she was an icon and deserved it).

Emmerdale fans will be delighted to know that its usual timeslot has remained the same.
