DANCING on Ice fans went wild tonight as a show legend returned to the ice five years after their last celeb partner.
The ITV show opened with a show-stopping routine by the professional skaters.
But die-hard fans quickly spotted that former winner Daniel Whiston was leading the troupe, whizzing across the ice and showing off his skills once again.
Daniel, 47, was a pro skater on Dancing on Ice from 2006 to 2014 and returned when the show was rebooted in 2018.
For that series he danced with Bucks Fizz star Cheryl Baker, where they finished in ninth place.
But from 2019 onwards, he retired from partnering the celebrities and took up a new role as the show's Associate Creative Director.
