Claudia Winkleman takes huge swipe at The Traitors stars in tense scene as they recruit yet another player

CLAUDIA Winkleman took a brutal swipe at two of The Traitors stars after they chose to recruit yet another player.

The BBC One host was left making a savage dig as Andrew and Harry revealed who they wanted to pick to join them.

Harry and Andrew had decided to pick another player after Harry secretly got the shield during the mission.

It meant that he could pretend that The Traitors had tried to murder him but his shield had saved him and then they could secretly recruit without suspicion.

As such, when it came to decision time, he persuaded Andrew to recruit once again.

They decided to pick 28 year old Ross, the secret son of show legend Diane, to join them in the hopes of them making it all the way to the final.

As Claudia asked them who they wanted to "seduce", the pair replied: "Ross."

Claudia then took an almighty swipe at the pair as she appeared unimpressed that they had opted for yet another man.

The TV favourite said: "Another man? Good."

She then looked away as she added: "it's like the olden days!"

Andrew was left open-mouthed at her swipe as the two Traitors gasped in shock.

Using a higher tone, Claudia attempted to defuse the situation as she said: "No, no, no, it's just..."

Andrew cut her off to explain that it was purely "strategic" as the host admitted: "I understand."

Moments later, Ross was delivered the news that he had been recruited.

He initially reacted in disbelief before choosing to accept the offer.

Ross admitted that he was doing it for Diane and believed that she would have rooted him no matter what.

He also suggested that he was out for revenge for the murder of his mum Diane as he discussed how he would do whatever it took to win.
