Pub-goers in shock as feuding Towie legends have awkward run-in at Essex boozer – with pals forced to step in
PUB-GOERS were left in shock when two Towie icons clashed in a busy Essex boozer.
Rivals Gemma Collins, 42, and Saffron Lempriere, 32, got embroiled in a bitter row at the Dog and Pickle in Ongar, Essex.
A rare face to face encounter spiralled out of control and pals had to intervene.
“It’s no secret that there is no love lost between Saffron and Gemma," said an onlooker.
"But despite the fact that they both live in the same area, they don’t often run into each other.
"Saffron clocked Gemma and decided to approach her table to sort things out. Gemma wasn’t interested in hashing out their differences in a crowded pub though, so Saffron’s words fell on deaf ears.

"When Saffron could tell Gemma wasn’t going to engage, she got frustrated and bit loud - it caused a bit of a stir and people on nearby tables were looking over. In the end, one of Saffron’s pals stepped in to calm her down and diffuse the situation.
"Gemma looked mortified as, while she’s had her share of bust ups during her time on reality telly, she was just out for some drinks with friends and the last thing she wanted was to cause a scene.
"It’s safe to say, however, that Saffron and Gemma won’t be making up anytime soon. The friendship is irreparable.”
The Sun has contacted representatives for both Gemma and Saffron.
Saffron, 30, who previously appeared alongside Gemma, 42, on her show Diva Espana, fell out with her former best pal two years ago.

They had been pals for eight years before it all went sour.
The feud began when Saffron went on a date with one of Gemma's exes.
She exclusively revealed: "My ex, I was with him for two years. I met him in Spain and it was a bit of a whirlwind.
"But before I knew her, when Gemma was 21, she went on three dates with him, twelve years before. I didn't know!
"I told her, 'I've started seeing someone'. I think maybe she always had a bit of a thing for him. She was like: ‘Nah, I am not having it'."
"We’ve never spoken since," Saffron added, revealing there was only "one phone call" four months after the initial fall out, but that Gemma has "never reached out" since then.
"We were like sisters. We were so, so close. But it has been three years now since we spoke. It really hurt me at the time," she said.
On whether she hoped to reunite with her former pal, Saffron concluded: "I am not good at holding grudges, so it is always in the back of my mind."
