DRAGONS' DEN may be in its 21st series but the BBC show still attracts many budding entrepreneurs.

One of the businesses hoping for success in front of the panel on the show's 24 series is the Cosy Cinema, run by John and Sian.

Who are John and Sian from the Cosy Cinema firm?

John and Sian are business owners from Cardiff, Wales.

As well as being business partners, the husband and wife duo are partners in life.

The couple run a Cosy Cinema TikTok account, where they share videos about their business with their 81k followers.

What is the Cosy Cinema firm all about?

Cosy Cinema is a business that supplies pods for customers.

In the pods, which measure five metres long by 2.5 metres wide, guests can watch films and play videos games.

The firm's describes Cosy Cinema as a first of a kind "immersive cinema experience" like no other in the market today.

The Cosy Cinema pods are available for up to six people for slots of three to six hours, or can be booked for overnight stays.

Prices for the pods start from £55 for a screening or £138 for an overnight stay.

They are heated and air conditioned, contain a 93-inch screen television and a king size bed, as well as a PlayStation games console and access to streaming services.

The Cosy Cinema business started in John and Sian's back garden during the Covid-19 lockdown but quickly caught the attention of many people online.

Revealing the origins of the business, John and Sian said: "While we were on a family holiday in Disneyland I wondered if we could escape the madness of all the crowds and queues, perhaps in our own private cinema.

"Back then our youngest son loved Mickey Mouse cartoons."

Per , they continued: "Anyway, I came home and began designing and engineering a modular, miniature version of a cinema, perfect for family and friends to enjoy.

"I designed and built the prototype which sits in our back garden to this day.

“Just as lockdown ended our business exploded. The idea caught attention of over 5 million viewers as our son created a TiKTok video back in 2021."

The couple, who share three children, now have nine pods in operation but have hopes of expanding with the help of Dragons' Den.

As of January 2024, Cosy Cinema has locations in Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan and Newport.

The business also has spots opening in Coventry, in summer 2024, and Swansea, in autumn 2024.

When will John and Sian from the Cosy Cinema firm appear on Dragons Den?

John and Sian are scheduled to appear on the January 18 episode of Dragons' Den on BBC.

The episode will see Dragons Sara Davies, Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman and Steven Bartlett joined by special guest Gary Neville.

The former footballer has joined the series as special guest and ahead of his debut on the series The Sun reported that he had shown a special interest in the Cosy Cinema firm.

Viewers will reportedly see Gary consider making an offer to invest in John and Sian's business - as well as proposing to use their design skills to evolve the company and make affordable housing.

When his role on Dragons' Den was first announced, Neville said: "I'm absolutely delighted to join the Dragons' Den, even if it's only for a very short period on an interim contract.

"I'm used to being an interim coach. I'm going to bring character, personality, drive, determination, hard work, all the things you'd want in a team player."

Also set for the January 18 episode are budding entrepreneurs Billy Childs, who is the director of BC Boots, and Acu Seeds owner Giselle Boxer.
