EMMERDALE’S Cathy Hope has made a devastating admission about dead brother Heath.
The teenager is being blamed for driving the car when it crashed, killing Heath on New Year’s Eve leading her dad Bob to barely being able to be around her.
In tonight’s episode he finally found the strength to sit down with Cathy ahead of Heath’s funeral tomorrow - but it all went wrong.
As the family sat around planning Heath’s funeral, they got onto what music to play having wisely ruled out hymns.
“I’ve got one,” said Bob. “Getting Started by Sam Fender. The hours he spent strumming that on his guitar.”
But Cathy was horrified and immediately said: “You can’t play that.”
As Brenda asked her why, she snapped back: “Because I don’t like it, that’s why.”
But Bob had had enough.
He told his daughter: “Why does everything have to be about you?
“You’re doing exactly that. Tomorrow isn’t about you, it’s about Heath. What Cathy wants, Cathy gets.
“But not this time, so tough. How dare you tell me I can’t choose a song for my son’s funeral.”
Despite doing exactly that, Cathy insisted she hadn’t and Bob stormed off, unable to look at her anymore.
With him gone, Cathy opened up to Brenda with an emotional admission.
“He doesn’t get it,” she said.
“That song was playing in the car right before we crashed. We were all singing along to it, Heath especially.

“He was singing at the top of his voice.”
She ran off in tears as Brenda wondered how she would get through the week.
