HAIR WE GO!

Nina Warhurst hits back at BBC Breakfast troll after brutal swipe at her ‘plastered down’ hair

Nina has admitted that she misses her baby girl even though she is glad to be back at work.

BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhurst has hit back at a viewer who criticised her appearance following her return to the show after a seven-month absence.

The doting mother of three returned to the big red sofa last week from her maternity leave.

Nina fired back at a BBC Breakfast fan after they took to social media and commented under a picture of her back on set: "Nina, I wish you would do something with your hair, fluff it up it looks like it's been plastered down. No offence intended.”

Ignoring what the troll said, Nina replied:  "Ahhhhh, it's good to be back!"

The business presenter's followers flooded the comments section with support following the harsh comment, with one person saying: "No pleasing some people, great to have you back, Nina."

Another expressed: "I was just thinking how utterly gorgeous you look, Nina. I presume some people have nothing better to do with their time but find things to criticise. I'd say if you've nothing nice to say, keep quiet, eh?"

A third user penned: "Recognised your voice before I even saw the screen! Welcome back, lovely to see you looking well, and your hair looks lush."

Before welcoming her third child, a daughter named Nancy, with husband Ed Fraser in July 2023,  the 43-year-old took time off on maternity leave in June last year.

The couple, who live in Manchester, already shared two young sons: Digby, who arrived in 2016, and Michael, who was born two years later in 2018.

Last Wednesday, Nina returned to the Breakfast studio in Salford's Media City and shared that it was "lovely to be back" but admitted she was missing her baby at home.

Speaking with hosts Jon Kay and Sarah Campbell, she said: "I've missed the gang, I'm missing the baby this morning, very much, but it's lovely to be back, best job in the world.

"And best baby in the world! I know everyone thinks their baby is the best one, but sorry guys, mine actually is."

Nina’s surprise appearance on the show left fans stunned after she showcased her post-baby body in a tight figure-hugging dress.

BBC Breakfast airs on Weekdays on BBC One.
