Bake Off star is worlds away from Channel 4 show as they bag lead role in new comedy series
THE Great British Bake Off host Noel Fielding is making his return to the sitcom world alongside an all-star cast for Apple TV+'s latest show.
Noel, famed for his role in The Mighty Boosh, will be taking on the role of Dick Turpin, that will spin all the traditional tales of the highwayman on its head.
Titled The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin, it marks Noel's first leading role in a sitcom in a decade.
In The Sun's first-look pictures, Noel looks worlds away from his time in the Channel 4 tent as he dons a series of classic outfits in order to get into character.
The show will also see Noel don a variety of different head gear for his comedic poke at the ways of Dick Turpin.
Co-starring Hugh Bonneville as Jonathan Wilde, the show will follow Dick Turpin on a slew of absurd and wacky adventures as he tries to outwit conman Jonathan in the hilarious irreverent 18th century tale.

With Dick as the most famous but least likely of highway robbers, his success becomes mainly defined by his charm, showmanship, and great hair.
Dick will be forced to endure the highs and lows of his missions and endeavours and will even find himself having a close brush with an 18th-century star.
Set to get everyone laughing, the comedy-adventure series will see an abundance of British TV comedy talent crop up across the six episodes.
Actress Tamsin Greig, famed for her role in Channel 4 comedy hit Friday Night Dinner, will appear alongside her former co-star Mark Heap.
