While tensions were high during the episode, there was a big moment of release in the final moments between Dr Nikki Alexander and boyfriend Jack Hodgson.

The pair first got together when they shared a kiss during the episode titled Matters of Life and Death, before sleeping together in History, Part 1.

They were confirmed to be in an official relationship by History, Part 4, but intimate scenes are kept few and far between for viewers.

That all changed at the end of the latest episode, when the pair were seen chatting on the sofa, before Jack pulled Nikki onto his lap.
