Yet she is now said to have been “fuming” after being left out of the annual Strictly Come Dancing tour line-up.

A source told : “Amanda made it clear she was desperate to have a slot.

“It was a real blow for her and she was fuming.

“She felt snubbed.”

Meanwhile, the stars selected for the country-wide tour are already in the midst of training, with Dianne Buswell and Bobby Brazier seen emerging from training with huge smiles.

Giovanni has also faced allegations that he clashed with previous partners, including Ranvir Singh, who lodged an official complaint, singer Faye Tozer, and presenters Laura WhitmoreRichie Anderson and Michelle Visage, over his boot camp methods.

Yet his former partner, Debbie McGee, has now come out in full support.

Ex Dancing On Ice star Alex Murphy has also backed the Strictly favourite, branding him “great.”

The Sun has also exclusively revealed the BBC has pledged to stand by Giovanni.

Meanwhile today, Amanda told The Sun on Sunday: “I just want to thank everyone who has been so kind and lovely and supportive this past week.

“It means a great, great deal.

“I was diagnosed with mild PTSD after Strictly for several reasons and I told a few people about that, in the utmost confidence, among other things that were happening in my life at the time both professionally and personally.

“I’m very sorry that people felt the need to send me death threats, threaten my children and bring up my past, healthy relationship with an ex-partner as an indicator of my current mental health. I wish those people well.”
