GLADIATORS is back on the box and fans are thrilled.
The BBC reboot brings with it a stellar line-up of sports stars which includes the mighty Apollo AKA Alex Gray.

Who is Alex Gray?
With the good looks of a Greek god and the speed of a rocket, it’s no surprise Alex Gray has earned the name Apollo.
He started his career playing rugby under 16s and moved onto the Premiership and then England 7s team, and also captained English Rugby teams for 16s, 18s and 20s.
Apollo was scouted to go to NFL for his skillset, making him the first British rugby player to transfer over to the NFL.
Signed for Atlantic Falcons and then became the first international player to Captain an NFL team.

He trains hard wanting to be the best and has a super strong competitive nature.
Don’t be fooled by his smile and charm, if you’re in his way he’ll take you down, and told the BBC: "Gladiator ready?? You better believe I am!!
“After playing Rugby and In the NFL, the opportunity to inspire as Apollo is a dream come true. I plan on leading from the front and never giving up."
Speaking about his character Alex said: "Apollo is like Superman, but with a sense of humor. Big and fast, like a rocket, and hotter than the sun! Favorite hobby.... destroying contenders"

The fitness fanatic also revealed he was a fan of the original Gladiators.
Speaking again to the BBC he said: "I was absolutely mad for Gladiators as a kid. My mum says all plans were cancelled for the Saturdays that Gladiators was on TV, as there would be absolute hell to pay if me and my brothers couldn’t watch it."
He went on to talk about how it felt to enter the Gladiators arena for the first time, and said: "It honestly gave me goosebumps when I first saw the Arena.
"Everything was just so epic, from the Rings to the Travelator.
"Everyone watching will be very happy to know that this series of Gladiators has a very similar feel to the original show, but with an extreme facelift.
"Audiences are going to be blown away by how cool it all is."
What age is Alex Gray?
Alex is in the prime of his life and has achieved a lot so far in his career.
The sports star was born on May 1, 1991 in Bishop Auckland, County Durham.
