LOVE Island fans have been left horrified after ITV announced the first twist of the series.

Viewers have the chance to pick which Islanders will couple up in the Love Island: All Star' launch episode on Monday – and many worry it means exes Liberty Pool, 24,  and Jake Cornish, 26, will be forced together.

Voting is free via the Love Island app and viewers have until 9pm on Friday to have their say, but they can only vote once.

Host Maya Jama confirmed the news on Capital today, saying: "We're putting it back in the public's hands... you have all the power!

"So... you get to decide which 'all stars' couple up with which 'all stars' on the first day."

Jake and Liberty - who were affectionately known as Jiberty - were favourites to win the show at one stage, but their relationship fell apart, and they both walked just four days before the series seven final.

The Sun previously told how Liberty will be completely blindside seeing Jake in the same villa as her.

And Liberty has already admitted it will be "awkward" if one of her exes pops up on the show, but insisted she will be "focused" on her own journey to find love.

She said: "It’s always going to be awkward isn’t it, it’s always going to be weird seeing someone that you’ve been with getting with someone else.

"I wish my exes nothing but the best. I'm going to be focused on my own journey so if it was to happen I won’t be worrying about them - so I'll stay focussed on my goal, which is to find love."

Fans can also take their pick from Georgia Steel, 25, Kaz Kamwi and Georgia Harrison, both 29.

They will join Chris Taylor, 33, who was best known for dating ex-islander Maura Higgins, in the villa.

Scotsman Anton Danyluk, 29, who was in the same series, has also signed up to return along with former gas engineer Mitch Taylor, 26.

Winter 2020 star Demi Jones, 25, went into her series as a bombshell but has been secured by ITV as one of this show's main cast.

Luis Morrison, 29, and Hannah Elizabeth, 33, first appeared on Love Island in 2015. Hannah won the show with her partner Jon Clark but the couple split up not long after.

Finally, 2021 contestant Toby Aromolaran, 24, is also back for a taste of the action. He came second in his series alongside his then partner Chloe Burrows.
