The streaming giant’s viewers have been binge-watching the 8-part series, which follows Maya Stern, played by former Corrie star Michelle struggling to cope with the death of her husband Joe, played by Richard Armitage

Things become very strange for Maya in the adaptation of Harlan Coben's best-selling novel, and not all is what it seems when she seemingly sees her dead husband on their CCTV camera.

In the process, Maya 'uncovers a deadly conspiracy that stretches deep into the past.'

Since it was released on the streamers platform at the beginning of this year, fans have been obsessed with the series, to say the least, and have taken to social media to give an in-depth analysis of the series.

Many fans also picked up on a few of the 'plot holes' in the hit series and took to X(Twitter) to discuss their findings, with one commenting: “binge watched this last night but felt there were a few holes in the plot which went unanswered.

"It was a great watch, however."

One scene that puzzled viewers was when Maya randomly left a helicopter and her student - who was training to fly the plane - in the middle of the woods.

Speaking on the scene, one viewer said: “I can’t stop wondering whether the man who was ditched in the middle of nowhere on his helicopter lesson ever made his dentist appointment?"

Another added: "Finished #FoolMeOnce last night and... can someone go check on that poor b*****d in the helicopter, he must be starving and bursting for a pee."

And a third penned: "I need to know of the bloke in the helicopter made it to his dentist appointment."

After witnessing Maya's fellow military officer and friend Shane's shady behaviours in the series show, fans are puzzled at what his motive could be and also took to social media to discuss their worries.

"I thought they made Shane look really suspicious, but nothing materialised from that," one user stated.

A second person on Reddit vented: "What was Shane’s character for? I get that he was her friend from the military, but was it him that was stalking her at her house and tracking her car etc?

"Was he obsessed with her? In love with her? He was underdeveloped, and I was convinced he was dodgy as soon as he came on the screen, but he turned out to be a nice guy and a loyal friend to Maya."

Another followed: "Really enjoyed it, but I still don't know why Shane was acting so suspiciously?? Did I miss some of it?

While another Netflix fan even suggested that Shane could have been involved in the Burkett family's mysterious ' cover up'.

They expressed: "I love Emmet Scanlon always plays the shift fella... I did think he had something to do with the family cover-up.”

Some other fans disagreed that Shane's character had any malicious intentions and claimed that he was simply a red herring throwing us off the scent.

Netflix subscribers have become really invested in the show, and most recently, they spotted that the mansion used in the series - known as Farmwood in the series - has been seen on screen before.

The mansion, which is actually the 15th Century Arley Hall and Gardens in Cheshire, has previously featured in TV shows including Peaky Blinders, The Great British Bake Off and even CBeebies' Something Special.
