I was on Love Island but I quit fame to retrain as a sound bath practitioner
FORMER Love Island star Tyla Carr has become the latest celebrity to switch her focus to the world of wellness.
The 30 year old has revealed that she’s training to be a sound bath healer and is enjoying “another chance to start again.”
Tyla who was the show's winner back in 2017 said: “I signed onto a course to learn about sound therapy. I absolutely loved my sound bath meditation and I wanted to learn more facts about it so that I can do it myself. I know I was put on this earth to help people in some way because this is what I get most pleasure from. I just need to find the paths to enable me to do this.’

Having recently told her 324k followers that shes doing dry January, Tyla who is mum to a four year old son Archie, admitted that she will choose a more wholesome way to celebrate her exciting hew pathway.
She said: “Today I accomplished module one and sent it off for assessment and f*** did it feel good. Normally I’d be celebrating with a wine but today it’s a children’s meal at David Lloyd and a water.”

The TV stars new move comes less than a year after she announced that she was set to become a property developer, after she successfully renovated her home in 2021, with the help of her dad.
After showing off her spacious new pad on social media she told The Sun at the time, that home refurbishment would be her new focus.
“I’ve gone into property development. I’m renovating lots of properties which is exciting and the plan now is to start my own property development company and sell houses.”

But now perhaps Tyla feels more in tune with mind, body and spirit than the notoriously flash world of property.

Since leaving the show she got together with her ex Rossco Edmunds with whom she had her son Archie in 2018. Seven months after Archie’s birth they split, but Tyla regularly shares her journey with work and motherhood with her followers on social media.
