MICHELLE Visage was left "deeply unhappy" after clashing with Giovanni Pernice during her time on Strictly.

The RuPaul's Drag Race judge, 55, and Giovanni, 31, came seventh when they were paired up in 2019.

At the time a show insider told The Sun how things between Michelle and the professional dancer were "tense" backstage.

A source said: “Michelle has become quite unhappy at times. She has a fiery relationship with Giovanni.

"They have been locking horns since the start.

“Both are very strong characters and they’ve both had a lot to say. He’s probably not used to a partner being quite so in control and calling the shots.”

Michelle also confessed she and Gio were "at each other's throats".

She added at the time: “We’re both Italian. We’re both intense. We’re both Virgos. So there’s a perfectionist level that’s really ridiculous between us."

The Sun previously revealed how Gio also clashed with Steps singer Faye Tozer when they were paired up in 2018.

This week we told how GMB's Ranvir Singh complained to bosses while paired with Gio in 2020.

Ritchie Anderson, who teamed up with the dancer in 2022, has tellingly unfollowed Gio on Instagram following the revelations.

The Sun on Sunday revealed at the weekend that actress Amanda, 51, has demanded Strictly bosses hand over recordings of her rehearsals with Gio.

She believes the hours of their practice tapes could support her claims about the pro dancer’s alleged behaviour towards her.

The Sherlock star quit the show in October citing medical reasons — and a source has revealed she has since been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

A pal claimed it has taken months for Mr Selfridge star Amanda to recover from her time on the dance show.

They said: “Amanda has been left broken and saddened by the whole experience. She has needed therapy and was left in shock by the behaviour she was exposed to.

“It has taken her months to get over what she went through. It was a real shock as she was initially so excited to sign up to the show to learn to dance, but instead she experienced an ordeal.

“Everyone else was having a fabulous time, but she was really stressed by having to spend eight hours a day with Giovanni. She spent a lot of time crying and couldn’t sleep or eat properly.”
