EMMERDALE fans have been left open-mouthed after Charity Dingle's age was revealed - gasping 'no way does she look it!'
The character first arrived in the village in March 2000 and has caused plenty of drama since then.

Charity - played by Emma Atkins - is currently struggling in the aftermath of the Christmas Day drama, which saw her shoot dead villain Harry as they both scrambled to get to the gun as she tried to save husband Mackenzie Boyd.
She also received a shock when she was introduced to grandson Oscar, who she had no idea existed, in a recent episode.
Oscar's parents are Charity's son Ryan and his girlfriend Gail, and the teen was full of questions as he spent time with his new grandmother at the Woolpack during Monday's episode.
Oscar asked why Ryan's dad was not around, and Charity panicked as she tried to decide whether to tell him she had been repeatedly abused and raped by police officer Mark Bails, leading to Ryan's conception and birth.

She tried to fob him off by saying he "wasn't a very nice man", but then Oscar asked: "How old are you? It's your birthday soon isn't it?
"There's a present out there with your name on it. I wasn't being nosy but I was hungry."
Charity replied: "I will be 48 tomorrow."
The penny seemed to drop for Oscar as she added: "Did Ryan tell you how old he was?" before giving the teen a look that let him read between the lines.

One wrote: "CHARITY IS TURNING 48!!! wtf. I say that but I am next month too. 48 isn’t too bad."
