Mark Wright breaks down in tears and sobs watching wife Michelle Keegan in Netflix hit Fool Me Once

PROUD husband Mark Wright has revealed how he sobbed with pride watching his wife Michelle Keegan star in Netflix's Fool Me Once.

The TV series dropped on the streaming service at the beginning of the year - and has proved a HUGE hit.

Michelle, 36, plays Maya Stern in the eight-part Netflix drama which is an adaption of author Harlan Coben's 2016 novel with the same name.

Now her husband Mark - who she wed in 2015 - has revealed his reaction to the show.

‌Speaking on his radio show, Mark Wright on Saturdays, he said: "I can't tell you how many people have texted me about Fool Me Once... my wife's new Netflix show if you haven't seen it, I'm not being biased.

"It really is incredible. Everybody in the world seems to be watching my wife on Netflix at the moment.

"Absolutely incredible. But I get asked a lot, right? Is it weird watching your wife play a character on a show?

"And by the way, before I met my wife, I would have been asking that same question.

"But I think it's probably because in a credit to her she's that good at what she does, that it doesn't feel weird at the time I completely snap out of the fact that that person on that screen playing Maya is Maya the person on the screen instead of my wife who is sat right next to me."

Mark went on to admit he broke down in tears of pride after being blown away by Michelle's performance.

He said: "I turned to my left to tell my wife how much I loved it and how proud I was and yeah, I broke down I got a lump in my throat I did cry like a little bit of soppy, but I think it was just that moment of watching my wife on the screen.

"And just finding her absolutely impeccable what she does, she works so hard to get to where she's got to … seems that people are loving it.

"So when I'm telling her that how proud I am I'm like oh, my wife's back in the room. I'm in the living room... we're about to have a takeaway together. 

"t's just a really surreal moment. So I think that was just a moment for me to say, Michelle, I'm so proud of you. You're incredible."

Meanwhile, it's being reported that Mark's wife Michelle is set for for Hollywood fame after catching the eye of top bosses with her hit Netflix show Fool Me Once.

According to reports, her work on the show has left many wanting to work with her.

A source said: ";The response to Fool Me Once has been overwhelming.

"The phone calls and offers have been coming in from Hollywood film executives, it's different to anything Michelle has experienced before.
