Coronation Street fans start campaign for huge soap star to play darts hero Luke Littler in film of his life
LUKE Littler may not have won the World dart championships, but that hasn’t stopped him from becoming the man of the moment.
Although he lost out to rival Luke Humphries, 28, in the live final on Wednesday night, the 16 year old has captured the hearts of the British public.
Now Coronation Street fans have started an online campaign to get cobbles star Alan Halsall, 41, to play the darts ace.
One wrote: "I can’t help thinking that Luke Littler is related to Tyrone Dobbs of Coronation Street.”
Another said: “We do need a feelgood drama about Luke Littler with him being played by Tyrone off Corrie.”
Meanwhile another fan wrote: “This is crying out for a one off ITV drama starring Sheridan Smith as the mam.”

A keen sportsman as a kid, the Manchester United fan had his heart set on becoming a professional footballer.
But aged nine, his father, Anthony, convinced him to hang up his boots and focus full time on darts.
Luke said: “I didn’t realise I was going to be this good, I played football beforehand, every kid, every young person wants to be a footballer.
