Emmerdale’s Sebastian Dowling breaks silence after shock soap axe as Heath Hope

EMMERDALE teen star Sebastian Dowling has broken his silence after his surprise exit from the show after his character was written out by bosses.

The teen had played the role of Heath Hope since 2007 on the ITV show before his character was killed off in a horror car crash, presumed to have been caused by his twin sister, Cathy, played by his real-life twin Gabrielle.

Now, Sebastian has taken to his Instagram page to share a slew of photos from his final day on set in the Dales.

He could be seen dressed in casual gear as he posed next to the infamous Emmerdale road signage at the entrance to the village.

Sending a poignant message to all of his supporters, Sebastian penned alongside the snaps: "Thanks to everyone @emmerdale for such a fun time filming over the 17 years."

He also posted shots of him on-set filming the crash that ultimately killed him off.

His loyal fans littered his post with supportive comments as they admitted to sobbing over his sad exit.

One penned: Absolutely sobbed when I watched the final scene. You’ve been amazing! Good luck to your future 

Another added: "So proud of you always best luck in future x."

A third went onto pen: "Ahh was such a shock so emotional got me crying i can't lie, all the best for future you will be missed."

His co-star Amelia Flanagan, famed for her role as April, added: "Good luck with everything will miss you."

Before his adoring sister added a series of red love hearts.

Heath died following a car accident in which he and his twin Cathy and their pal Angelica King stole Wendy Posner's car and drove to a party in nearby Hotten.

However, the young teens ran into trouble as their car crashed off the road and left Heath dead as a result of his injuries.

Speculation has since been rife as to who was driving the vehicle.

Fans of the show only ever saw Cathy driving the vehicle as she insisted she had been taught how to drive by her brother Scott, despite only being 16.
