I was on The Traitors – the producers had a sneaky trick to make filming the banishments really ‘eerie’
A series one star has been lifting the lid on behind the scenes
THE Traitors producers played creepy music to force contestants into “eerie” silence while filming.
Series one star Amanda Lovett has opened up about what it was like to record scenes around the roundtable.
This is a crucial part of the show as it’s where the contestants gather to banish each other.
They must choose who they believe to be a traitor in order to eliminate them from the game.
“That was the eeriest room,” Amanda said on Instagram.
“It was darker and they would play the music before we started talking.
“We were all really suppressive and getting ready to banish each other I suppose.”
The Traitors returned last night with 22 new contestants – and there’s already been new twists revealed.
After the first three Traitors were picked by host Claudia Winkleman, a fourth secret Traitor was chosen by them.
In the first episode, The Traitors were revealed as Harry, Ash and Paul – who picked a fourth member that will be revealed in the next episode.
Claudia also teased more new challenges to come, saying: “The missions this year are epic.
“The producers are so clever, as the missions are incredibly important, as it is a chance for the contestants to switch off from strategising and plotting.
“They get fresh air, they run around, they work as a team. The scale this year is beyond.”
