VIEWERS of Coronation Street have insisted watching Sarah Platt's gullible nature is "physically painful" after she was played by Damon Hay yet again.
Fans of the ITV soap opera are unhappy that the character, played by Tina O'Brien, acted shocked that she had been seemingly duped by the bad boy once again.
Damon had kidnapped Sarah's ex Adam Barlow and held him at gunpoint during a surprise attack on New Year's Day.
In order to keep his tracks covered, Damon purposefully left Adam in the back of a van while he visited Sarah in order to provide himself with an alibi.
It was here that Damon and Sarah began to reconnect as she opened up to him about losing their baby.
The pair chatted things out but Sarah was left unconvinced that they would be able to make it work.

Having left, Damon made his way back to where Adam was being held and put a gun to his head.
However, he quickly backtracked and opted out of killing him and Adam was released and then hellbent on getting Damon in trouble with the cops.
Believing that she was with Damon throughout the ordeal, Sarah told the police that the pair were at her flat which gave him a solid alibi.
Later on, Sarah, having believed that Damon was entirely innocent, was left open-mouthed as he admitted it was all him.

Gasping in shock, she took aim at his joy for claiming that he "didn't go through with it".
It left Sarah in a rage as she ranted at Damon once again as she realised that things were not as they seemed.
But for regular viewers of the show, they labelled the scene as "painful" after Sarah was kept in the dark about the truth once again.
Writing on X - formerly Twitter - one fan said: "Are the corrie writers holding a competition every year to see how gullible they can make Sarah? It is physically painful to watch her every week."
Another added: "What’s Sarah going on about saying she suddenly ‘really likes’ Damon ?! Her intellect never fails to surprise me. The lights are on but nobody’s home."
Before another fan wrote: "5 mins ago Sarah says she still loves Damon - now she's told him to sling his hook. She needs to stop blowing hot and cold like this."
