Channel 4 confirms return of beloved panel show – and it’s just weeks away from hitting screens
POPULAR Channel 4 panel show The Last Leg is returning to screens in a matter of weeks - as well as being given a huge boost by the channel.
It has been confirmed that the broadcaster has issued a whopping 30th series of the programme.
Fronted by comedians Adam Hills, Alex Brooker and Josh Widdicombe, the Friday night favourite will make a long-awaited return to screens amid doubts over its future.
Kicking off on the 16th February, the new series is expected to run for eight weeks and broadcast live each week.
Fans had been left concerned for the programme after it was revealed to have had its episode count cut amid a series of show changes and axings at Channel 4.
In an extra boost for the comedy programme, the channel has already commissioned a slew of Paralympic themed special episodes for later in the year.

The specials will run alongside the Games taking place in Paris this summer.
The Last Leg was first launched to accompany the summer games in 2012 when they took place in London.
It featured the hosts taking a satirical look at the goings-on from the event as well as being a dedicated place to look back and highlight all the action.
Impressed with the programme, Channel 4 opted to run the show outside of the Paralympics as it opted to take a more humorous look at news, politics, current affairs and pop culture.
Over 315 episodes of the show has been produced to date.
Celebrity guests for the new run are expected to be confirmed over the coming weeks with past series available to stream online now.
