Pub goers stunned as Dec Donnelly takes the mic and performs Billy Joel song on New Year’s Eve in his local boozer
The 48-year-old didn't want the party to end and invited punters back to his mum's house
DECLAN Donnelly serenaded New Year's Eve punters with a dazzling rendition of Billy Joel's Piano Man.
The I'm a Celeb star, 48, belted out the track at a boozer near Newcastle as regulars rang in 2024.

Dec then invited locals back to his mum's home nearby as the celebrations continued.
Footage showed the TV star in front of the mic at The Bagder in posh Ponteland, Northumberland.
He joined local band, The Optics, for the impromptu singalong of the 1973 ballad.
The crowd cheered as he looked at the lyrics on his phone and sang: "Now John at the bar is a friend of mine...He gets me my drinks for free..."

Revellers raised their glasses and joined in before cheering as his voice hit the high notes.
One punter said: "Dec was in on New Year's Eve with his family. They seemed to be having a great time.
"He is such a lovely person. Exactly like he is on TV.
"It was a fantastic atmosphere.

"He comes here a lot. His sister also comes. You could actually say Dec is a regular and he often sings on New Year's Eve."
But dad-of-two Dec was not done there and brought the party back to his mum Annie's home.
Dec grew up in the three-bed council house with his parents and six other siblings.
He repeatedly offered to buy mum Annie a new home as his career rocketed, but she refused and instead stayed in the £10,000 property.
Dec, wearing a blue shirt, even posed in the kitchen for a selfie with one of the lucky New Year's Eve partygoers.
The star was enjoying a Christmas at home with his family after spending weeks in Australia filming I'm A Celebrity alongside Ant.
