EASTENDERS fans think they have 'rumbled' a dark truth behind George Knight's dad - and it spells disaster for Cindy Beale.
George's parents Gloria and Eddie arrived during Monday's episode of the BBC soap, shocking their son and his family.
Ex-wife Cindy - who the couple had known as Rose - also appeared put out to come face to face with them in the pub, before she made a sharp exit.
In tonight's episode, Gloria and Eddie told George they had been paid to take him in as a child, and that his adoption hadn't been as he had believed.
Shocked, George went to the boxing centre to let out his feelings, before Gloria turned up and had a heart to heart with him.
Meanwhile back at the pub, Eddie spoke to George's daughters Gina and Anna about his son's boxing exploits as a youngster.

As Gina questioned him, Eddie said at one point: "You sounded just like your dad then, take after him too don't ya?"
He then added: "Funny isn't it? Two girls, same dad, but so different."
The expression on Gina's face change, as did Eddie's before he took a sip of his cuppa.
Later, George visited Cindy to ask if she had known about what his parents had done, having been close with Gloria during their marriage.

But Cindy immediately replied: "Is it your dad? Has he done something?"
The two scenes left EastEnders viewers highly suspicious of Eddie, and what he could have done to make Cindy seem so on edge.
Taking to X - formerly Twitter - one wrote: "I'm convinced George's dad tried it on with Cindy or worse…she asked George if Eddie had 'done something' & it felt very foreboding and they're also already subtly framing Eddie up to be a dirtbag with the whiskey at 10am, roll ups and toxic masculinity etc."
Another added: "Two girls, same dad but so different” is that a foreshadowing that Gina isn’t actually Cindy’s daughter?"
A third tweeted: "Anna is 100% eddies child ain’t she that’s why we had cindy’s reaction."
Meanwhile a fourth commented: "Cindy left the pub as quick as George’s parents arrived. I’m predicating the father is a villain and tried to hurt Cindy? Hopefully you can can tease the storyline soon."
