Fears for Hannah Spearritt as she misses ‘several’ Dancing On Ice training sessions
S CLUB 7 singer Hannah Spearritt has missed several Dancing On Ice training sessions, leaving TV bosses worried about her ability to face the rigours of the first show in January.
The 42-year-old singer, who is partnered with pro skater Andy Buchanan, has fallen behind on her training schedule, which has been in full swing for the past few months.
The first live show is in two weeks’ time and a TV source said: “Hannah is on thin ice.
“She has missed a number of rehearsals with Andy and there are fears that she won’t be ready.
“All the performances are live, so any mistakes, mishaps or, in the worst case, falls are caught live on camera.
“Like many pros, Andy will do a lot of the heavy lifting in the routines, but it does help if the celebrity has a base level of ability.

“Hannah might have dance experience from her pop star days, but ice skating is very different.”
She is competing against actors Ryan Thomas and Claire Sweeney, ex-boxer Ricky Hatton, former Olympic ski-jumper Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards and reality TV’s Amber Davies in the ITV competition.
Hannah pulled out of S Club 7’s planned reunion tour following the death of bandmate Paul Cattermole in April this year.
She has since revealed that none of the band’s other singers – Rachel Stevens, Tina Barrett, Jo O’Meara, Bradley McIntosh and Jon Lee – have spoken to her since she quit the tour.
In October Hannah said in The Sun on Sunday: “Will I ever perform with them again?
“I just don’t know.
“I’ve not spoken to any of them since I left, which is fine.
“I was extremely excited – we all were – to get back as a seven.
“But then Paul died and everything changed.
“It gave me time to reflect on whether it was the right thing for me to do.
“I’m sad we aren’t in touch.
“They’ve gone their way and I’ve gone mine.
“I wish them all the best.”
