EastEnders’ George Knight to be left shellshocked after his real identity is revealed in dramatic scenes
GEORGE Knight is set to see his entire world turned upside down when his parents reveal a shocking secret about his adoption.
Having settled into life at The Queen Vic on the BBC soap rather nicely, George, played by Colin Salmon, will be left delighted when he is joined by his adoptive parents who come over to visit.
In upcoming scenes, George will be lost for words when Gloria and Eddie Knight make a visit to Walford.
George has not seen the pair for over a decade, and they are keen to build a relationship with him once more.
Christopher Fairbank, 70, has taken on the role of Eddie, while Elizabeth Counsell, 81, is Gloria.
However, it soon becomes clear that a secret surrounding his adoption is set to rise to the surface.
In shock scenes, he will be told that he was adopted via a process known as farming which saw children advertised for money for parents looking to give children a home.
It will spark questions regarding George's real heritage and will differ from that of what his parents had led him to believe.
Viewers will quickly realise that Gloria and Eddie are not what they seem as it’s clear both are still concealing secrets from their son.
Eddie’s racist ideologies will come to the forefront as his fractured relationships with his family are exposed as they challenge him on his views.

In order to accurately portray the difficult storyline, the EastEnders crew have worked tirelessly with experts and people who have experienced farming in real-life in order to ensure the story is told as accurately as possible.
Reflecting on the upcoming plot, EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw said: “EastEnders has a rich history of telling challenging yet truthful stories which reflect past and present events.
"George Knight’s storyline will force him to question the identity his parents gave him from childhood as he discovers the true means by which he was adopted.
"It was imperative that we worked with experts and people with lived experience of farming to ensure the storyline is handled as sensitively and as accurately as possible.”
Colin has portrayed George on EastEnders since June this year when he joined the cast as Elaine Peacock’s partner.
He arrived with his daughters Gina and Anna and their dog Tyson.
