The Masked Singer UK 2024 LIVE — Owl revealed as Lorraine Kelly and fans claim to ‘expose’ Air Fryer as Hollywood star
THE Masked Singer returned last night as the remaining celebs battled it out as they took to the stage.
Unfortunately for Owl, their time on The Masked Singer came to an end after being unmasked as TV presenter Lorraine Kelly.
Ahead of last night's instalment, fans were convinced they know the identity of Air Fryer - and it's not who you might expect.
Social media has been rife with speculation that Hollywood A-lister Rebel Wilson is hiding behind the mask.
One X user speculated: "This is Rebel Wilson without a doubt #maskedsingeruk." A second said: "Air fryer is Deffo Rebel Wilson, 100%%% #MaskedSingerUK."

Is Olly Murs secretly a Masked Singer character?
Olly Murs, who stepped in for Rita Ora as a guest judge on last week’s episode, teased fans that he could secretly be a character on this season’s The Masked Singer.
Speaking to The Sun ahead of his appearance, Olly hinted that him filling in for Rita could be a cover up to keep fans guessing.
“I’ve got to say, in all the years I’ve watched Masked Singer I think my name has been mentioned at least once each series,” he said.
“So I think at least this series they can rule me out! Or maybe I’m double bluffing people!”
Who is Masked Singer judge Davina McCall?
Davina McCall has made quite the career for herself over the years.
She’s starred on the likes of Big Brother, The Million Pound Drop, The Jump and Long Lost Family.
Now she’s one of the judges on The Masked Singer alongside other famous faces.
What did Shirley Ballas say after Rat was unmasked?
In a shock result, Shirley Ballas was revealed to be behind the Rat character in last week’s episode.
The Strictly Come Dancing head judge was “flattered” by the judges’ positive comments about her singing.
Shirley told host Joel Dommett: “I was very flattered actually because I just don’t sing at all and some of the people that you were saying, was like wow!
“It was one of the best times of my life. It was way out of my comfort zone and I totally loved it.”
Who are the previous winners of The Masked Singer?
There has been four previous UK series of The Masked Singer.
The winners were:
- Series 1 – Nicola Roberts as Queen Bee

Next on?
The Masked Singer will return to screens next Saturday for even more fun at 7pm on ITV1/ ITVX.
A teaser at the end of last night's instalment showed clips of Lorraine Kelly and Ellie Goulding as guest judges, along with footage of Rita Ora back in her seat on the panel.
It has not yet been confirmed who will make up the judging panel next weekend, although fans are desperate to have Rita back!
On Saturday night, she was replaced by comedy actress Jennifer Saunders.
What a Rebel
The Masked Singer's host Joel Dommett has previously claimed there is a really high profile star among the lineup.
Could it be Rebel Wilson?
Fans are convinced the Aussie actress is the voice behind the Air Fryer mask, especially after her latest performance last night.
Even guest judge Jennifer Saunders thinks it is Rebel. Do you agree?
Disco time
Last night's episode of The Masked Singer was 'school disco' themed.
Judges Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross all dressed as school kids, while guest judge Jennifer Saunders played the role of headmistress.
Well, actually, Jonathan looked more like a history teacher than a teenage tearaway...
In the clues
Last night, actress Julia Sawalha was unmasked as Bubble Tea.
After she was unveiled, some of the Absolutely Fabulous star's clues were explained to viewers.
Apparently, the picture of the ice-skating chicken on a lunch box that was shown to the audience referenced Julia's voicing of a character in the movie Chicken Run.
The clues 'sweetie' and 'darling' had also been used during her time on the show to hint at her role as Saffy in Ab Fab.
La confusion
Eiffel Tower took to the stage again last night and she was simply dazzling.
Fans are really stumped on who she might be, though.
There has been so many names thrown into the mix, including Nicole Scherzinger, Cyndi Lauper and Annie Lennox.
One name that keeps cropping up, however, is Anastasia.
The American singer had huge success in the 00s, with hits including I'm Outta Love and Left Outside Alone.
Could she be about to make a comeback as a French landmark?
Early bird
Owl found herself in the bottom two last night and went head-to-head with Bubble Tea.
Both characters performed for a second time in a desperate attempt to stay, before Owl was saved by the judges.
It's fair to say Owl isn't a natural singer but viewers are divided over who is behind the mask.
Daytime presenter Lorraine Kelly's name has been thrown into the mix and some fans are convinced it is her.
There has been a lot of references to football and Lorraine is an Honorary Club Patron of Dundee United.
However, other viewers are certain all the clues are pointing to former Lioness Alex Scott.
Only time will tell as to who she is!
A bit fishy
Fans are utterly convinced Piranha sounds just like Danny Jones from McFly, but the clues are just so tricky!
Piranha opened the show on Saturday night and it is no surprise he sailed through to the next round thanks to his amazing vocals.
But viewers are still struggling to confirm whether their suspicions are correct. What do you think?
Who is Julia?
Julia Sawalha - aka Bubble Tea - is best known for playing Edina's long-suffering daughter Saffy in 90s sitcom Absolutely Fabulous.
Tonight's guest judge, Jennifer Saunders, played Edina in Ab Fab and the show also starred the legendary actress Joanna Lumley.
Julia, 55, has also appeared in Jonathan Creek, Lark Rise To Candleford and Pride and Prejudice.
Fans will remember her breakout role as Lynda Day in the teen drama Press Gang. She has recently signed up to the 13th series of Vera.
Julia is also the sister of Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha, although the girls are famously known for their fallout. They currently do not speak to each other following a bitter feud.
Who's left?
With Bubble Tea now gone, the list of remaining contestants in The Masked Singer is getting smaller.
This week saw Owl, Air Fryer, Eiffel Tower and Piranha all through to the next round, after Bubble Tea's departure.
They join Dippy Egg, Cricket, Big Foot and Maypole, following the unmasking of Rat last week.
Rat was revealed as being Strictly Come Dancing's head judge Shirley Ballas. Bubble Tea is Absolutely Fabulous actress Julia Sawalha.
Fabulous reunion
Jennifer Saunders seemed absolutely delighted to reunite with her Ab Fab daughter Julia Sawalha tonight.
Julia was unmasked as Bubble Tea, much to the shock of guest judge Jennifer and the rest of the panel.
They immediately began referring to each other as 'mummy' and 'darling' before enjoying a huge hug after Julia performed a last time.
One happy fan posted on X: "Absolutely fabulous sweetie darling. What a fantastic unmasking never would have guessed."
And Bubble Tea is...
Julia Sawalha. Jennifer Saunders' on-screen daughter Saffy!
What were the chances of Jennifer being on the panel and Julia being booted out on the SAME NIGHT.
Remarkable... Absolutely Fabulous, in fact.
Bubble's burst
The judges have chosen to save Owl - meaning Bubble Tea's bubble has burst.
But who is behind the mask?
I personally think Bubble Tea was a better singer than Owl, but there we go.
Now to find out who she is!
Christine's clue
There is a lot of chat about Owl being Lorraine Kelly.
And the 'Christine' clue has only added to the whispers.
Christine Lampard is Lorraine's stand-in for ITV1's Lorraine when the Scottish presenter is on holiday.
Was Christine covering for her while she was filming The Masked Singer?
Almost time
But first... another advert break.
That locker thing was new, but I can't say it brought me any closer to guessing who either Owl or Bubble Tea are!
In fact, it only confused me more...
Head-to-head
The girls are going head-to-head tonight.
Bubble Tea is definitely the better singer, so I wouldn't be surprised if the judges vote to save her and send Owl home.
Please though... no more ad breaks before whoever it is gets unmasked!
Made it through
Piranha, Air Fryer and Eiffel Tower live to see another week.
This leaves Owl and Bubble Tea in the bottom two.
Who do you think will go? My money is on Owl, as I would say Bubbe Tea is the stronger singer.
Rita rumours
Rita Ora isn't on the panel tonight - but Maypole isn't performing either.
This does rather ruin the suggestion that she is only absent when Maypole is up on stage.
It does beg the question over why she was picked for the job if she genuinely couldn't make all the shows?!
Side note- loving Jennifer Saunders.
Blast from the past
I just stumbled across a blast from the past over on X.
One fan suggested that Eiffel Tower is in fact Duffy.
Remember her? She's was MEGA in the late noughties.
Duffy has since stepped back from the limelight after choosing to live a life away from the public eye.
I doubt it is her, but it was nice to have a trip down memory lane. She was great!
All done
All of this week's contestants have now performed.
Who is going to be in the bottom? And who is going to be unmasked tonight?!
Not long to wait, guys. But I'm not expecting to see Russell Crowe or Kylie Minogue tonight, no matter what the judges say!
Got pipes
Air Fryer can definitely sing, there's no doubt about that.
She's actually quite the rock chick!
But whoever she is, she's leaving the nation baffled.
Fans are touting round a plethora of names over on X, formerly known as Twitter.
We've got Sheridan Smith, Andi Oliver and even Rebel Wilson.
Interesting. But I don't think she's Kylie Minogue, okay Mo?
Air-ny idea?
Air Fryer certainly left the judges stumped last time she performed.
She's not even opened her voice to sing yet, but the judges are already baffled about who she is.
She's definitely hinting at someone who is using the show to make her big return.
