EastEnders star Brian Conley stunned as he’s mistaken for Hollywood A-lister joking ‘I could be his body double’
EASTENDERS star Brian Conley has revealed he was once mistaken for Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney.
The soap star has played the role of Tom "Rocky" Cotton in the serial drama since 2021.
Brian, 62, is often hailed as a 'heartthrob' from EastEnders fans, and when asked about the status he admitted: "I wouldn't say that!
"Although there was an advert on TV not long ago and my friend said to me, 'I thought it was you but it was George Clooney,'
"I could be his body double, but I don't think my wife would agree."
He was then asked if he ever met the Ocean's Eleven star, he said he has never had the privilege.

However, he did admit that he met other surprising Hollywood names when he starred in a West End musical production
"No but I met Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman when they were in London," he told .
"They came to see me when I was in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in the West End."
He added: "I couldn't believe it when the company manager said, 'Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman would love to meet you afterwards'.

"It was a wonderful honour for them to pop backstage."
Brian has been a successful actor in his own right, winning a National Television Award in 1995 in the Most Popular Comedy Performer category.
He was also nominated for an Olivier Award a year later in 1996 for his role in the production of Jolson.
