Emmerdale fans horrified at most miserable Christmas episode ever as Charity Dingle kills a man
EMMERDALE fans are in shock after the most miserable Christmas episode ever as Charity Dingle became a killer.
The Woolpack landlady - who is played by actress Emma Atkins in the ITV soap - was forced to kill tonight to save husband Mackenzie Boyd.
Viewers know Mack had been kidnapped by Chloe Harris’ dad Harry - and tonight Charity was let in on the secret.
Earlier Chloe told her dad she was going for a walk with baby Reuben but escaped back to the village in the hopes of seeing her sister before she flees abroad.
However as she ran into the cottage she didn’t realise her dad had followed her.
He told her her plan to free Mackenzie had failed and that today was the day he died.

Harry then forced his daughter into his car and left the village - but they had been spotted by Charity and Chas, who remembered Harry from when he kidnapped her.
Following them, Charity and Chas made their way to the warehouse where Mack is being kept and tortured.
But when Charity went to search, Chas, still traumatised from her kidnapping ordeal, stayed hidden to call the police.
Sadly she was found by one of Harry’s thugs and couldn’t call - until Charity appeared and knocked him out with a piece of wood.
Sending Chas outside to summon help, Charity went in and found Harry beating Mack to within an inch of his life.
Chloe tried to stop her dad’s brutal assault, giving Mack time to try and talk Harry down - but instead it ended with Harry pulling a gun on him.
Mack realised Charity was there when Chloe stood between him and her gun-toting father.
“If you kill him I will report you to the police myself and don’t think I won’t,” she said.
“You’ve never loved me, you don’t even know who I am. Because of you my self-esteem is so crushingly low that I didn’t think I deserved more than him.”
“That’s a lot to unpack,” Harry joked back. “Why don’t we discuss it over dinner? Now move.”
But as Harry went to shoot Mackenzie, Charity ran at him - only for Mack to spring up and knock Harry down.
Charity and Harry both scrambled for the gun and it went off with Harry falling to the ground dead.
Fans are in shock at the most miserable Christmas episode ever.
