A Place in the Sun’s Jasmine Harman reveals sad downside of moving to Spain as she celebrates first Christmas abroad
JASMINE Harman has revealed the heartbreaking downside of moving to Spain as she celebrates her first Christmas abroad.
The A Place in the Sun host, 48, is best known for helping Brits find their dream property in warmer climates.
But earlier this year Jasmine made the life-changing decision to move abroad herself.
The mum-of-two relocated her family to Spain, meaning the star now has a simpler commute to the day job and can spend more time with her children and husband Jon Boast, whom she first met on A Place in the Sun.
However, the downside is leaving her family and friends - especially her mum - behind in the UK.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Jasmine said: "You know, I really, really, really miss her. And the children miss her.

"And we don't have anyone to help out with the childcare here yet and I think that's a big thing. Having somebody to look after your children and then having somebody, you know, new looking after your children.
"So we haven't got anybody yet, but my mum has been over already twice to visit, so she's never far away.
"My mum likes travelling, so it's that's been quite nice to have her come and stay as well."
Jasmine has previously spoken about her mum Vasoulla's struggles with hoarding and founded Hoarding Support to care for other individuals.
Despite missing family, Jasmine hasn't looked back from her move and the better quality of life it's given her.
She explained: "The lifestyle here where I am on the Costa del Sol is just wonderful.
"You can be outdoors so much of the time and we've been making new friends and meeting people, and we're looking forward to spending our first Christmas here together as a family."
"We brought the dog out with us as well!"
Jasmine is back on Channel 4 in the New Year with a brand new series of A Place in the Sun and its spin-off What Happened Next.
The show will revisit some of the couples who made the big move and how they've settled into their new lives.
