Star of axed Netflix show gives fans hope as they insist series WILL return against all odds in rare update

A STAR of an axed Netflix show has given fans hope that the series WILL return no matter what in a new update.

The dystopian thriller had been cancelled in January after filming had wrapped.

But now it looks like the final instalment of Snowpiercer could be returning to screens, according to one of it's actors.

Sam Roche actor Mike O'Malley has pledged fans will be able to watch the finished fourth and final season "somewhere".

The actor admitted he's still 'trying to get an answer' on Season 4's release date, but assured: "But that entire fourth season is in the can and that’s going to end up somewhere."

When asked if season four will be the final, he said to TV Line: "We were actually hoping that we’d keep going, but I think there’s an ending to that where it could be the end, and it’s very hopeful…

When the show got axed, a network spokesperson said: ‘We can confirm that TNT will not air season four of Snowpiercer.

‘This was a difficult decision, but our admiration for the talented writers, actors and crew who brought Snowpiercer’s extraordinary post-apocalyptic world to life remains strong.’

The series is based on the 2013 film of the same name which was directed by Parasite’s Bong Joon-ho, which was in turn based on the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige.

It follows passengers on the Snowpiercer, a gigantic train that circles the globe carrying the remnants of humanity seven years after the world becomes a frozen wasteland.
