2023 has been a year of ecstatic ups and brutal downs for many characters of the BBC One show, including the Six.

However, the festive season brings unimaginable trouble to their doorsteps, as teased in a grisly flashforward scene aired earlier this year.

Fans of the London-based drama were floored when they learned that the festive season would be tainted by a horrific crime taking place in The Vic and involved six of Walford's favourite ladies.

Many of them have speculated about who the unknown victim would be and names in the likes of Nish Panesar, Ravi Gulati, Keanu Taylor and even Dean Wicks were thrown into their theories.

Viewers will know that Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) have been chosen to be a part of the whodunnit and their lives have been teased to be changing forever in a flash.

How will they cope with the weight of their action, if they are even responsible for the upcoming murder?

Could history repeat itself with Stacey killing off the mystery male victim, more than a decade after murdering Archie Mitchell in the same spot?

It all begins when Sharon and Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) get ready for their wedding day at No.43 with Zack Hudson (James Farrar) and Martin Fowler (James Bye).

Unbeknownst to anybody, Sharon tries to mask her guilt as she continues to keep a massive secret about her son Albie's paternity.

Later, at the church, Sharon is a vision in white as she walks down the aisle with Albie.

Sharon and Keanu are about to say "I do" before her ex-husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) arrives with a huge bombshell.

In later scenes, all six women mentioned above seek solace for the day's events in the Vic but their peaceful gathering turns violent when a man finally meets his anticipated end in the pub.

Later on, all six women desperately try to deal with the fallout of their actions - but could they get caught?

Keanu Taylor is one of the first men to be mentioned as the Christmas Day victim due to his involvement in Albie's kidnapping ordeal, as mentioned above.

However, tensions between Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) and Linda Carter also make the rapist a strong contender.

Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) and his illegitimate son Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) have also been causing enough trouble for the Albert Square ladies, meaning they could decide to get revenge on the pair of them.

Denise Fox, on the other hand, may also want to punish her husband, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), for his infidelity with Stacey Slater, much like Kathy Beale who has been betrayed by her husband Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley).

Whatever the case may be, the matriarchs are later shocked when their nightmare is clearly nowhere near over.

What will they do?
