Bargain Hunt star Charles Hanson charged with assault and coercive behaviour as he moves out of £1.5m marital home
Derbyshire Police said Hanson was charged on December 14 with seven alleged offences
BARGAIN Hunt star Charles Hanson has been charged following a police probe into domestic abuse allegations.
The BBC TV auctioneer, 45, will appear in court next month over seven alleged offences, including assault.

We previously revealed that police were called in June to the £1.5million country pile he shared with wife Rebecca, 40.
Hanson, who also appears on Flog It! and Antiques Road Trip, is understood to have since moved out of the six-bedroom home in a picture-postcard Derbyshire village.
A source said at the time: “It is not the sort of place you expect police to turn up.
“But a car came to the house and they spoke to Charles. It is a tiny village so a few people have been talking about it, as word gets around. It is all very shocking.”

Police said Hanson has now been charged with seven offences, including two of assault causing actual bodily harm, and one of controlling and coercive behaviour.
There are also two counts of assault by beating.
After qualifying as a chartered surveyor, Hanson started his career in 1999 in the ceramics and glass department at Christie’s.
He first appeared on Bargain Hunt in 2002, becoming the youngest expert on the team at 25.

He regularly advises one of the two teams trying to turn a profit from buying and selling antiques, and last year got jokingly “throttled” by one contestant following a loss.
He set up an auctioneering business in Derby-shire in 2005 and launched Hansons London in 2018.
Hanson met diagnostic radiographer Rebecca through friends in 2008 and they married two years later in Mackworth, Derbys.
Guests included Bargain Hunt presenter Tim Wonnacott and experts Philip Serrell, David Barby, Jonathan Pratt and Kate Bliss.
Antiques and pictures of X-rays were laid out on tables at the reception.
The couple moved into their manor home in 2014, paying more than £900,000 for it.
Talking previously about his wife, Derby County fan Hanson said: “She is a beautiful, elegant and lovely lady.
“I’m used to dealing with beautiful things but Rebecca is the most beautiful treasure of all and I’m very lucky she is my wife.”
Derbyshire Police said Hanson was charged on December 14 with seven alleged offences.

It added: “The 45-year-old was released on police bail to appear at Southern Derbyshire magistrates’ court on 10 January.”
Hanson was approached for comment.
