NIGEL Farage battled a secret health condition during his time in the jungle.

The former UKIP leader who finished third on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here found one of the challenges almost unbearable.

He and fellow campmate Tony Bellew were tasked with a Bushtucker Trial where they had to drink vile concoctions.

Speaking about the moment on his podcast with Pete Wicks, Sam said that Nigel was knocking the disgusting beverages back as if he was in the pub.

Sam, who was crowned King of the Jungle last week said that the drinking challenges were "far worse" than the eating tasks.

"He's a really proud bloke, is Nigel. He wanted to show the nation in his own words that he was a stalwart guy and he was going to really muck in and stuff. And he did," Sam said on Staying Relevent.

"And he was doing the drinking challenge and Nigel is just like drinking these things like they're pints and he's going up to them and saying 'one more please sir'," he explained.

"So Tony's dying whilst they're filming the challenge. Tony's thrown a lot of his stuff up, and pooing at the same time - so at least he's getting a lot of that stuff out."

"But Nigel wanted to keep it all down so he's literally lying at Snake Rock, which is the grim camp and there's no seats or anything there," he continued.

He said that Nigel was lying on his backpack wailing in agony whilst Tony continued to throw up from the challenge.

"They're all miserable, they're all sat at this horrible camp and all you can hear is Tony going 'BLUGGHHH' and then you've got Nigel in the corner going 'OOOOHHHHHHGGGHHH'"

"And we can hear some of this from the main camp and it's so funny because the contrast of us eating pancakes and bacon and Nigel going 'OOOOGGGGGHHHHHHHHH' and Marvin shouting 'Nigel just shut up and throw up man' is so good"

Sam experienced a health trouble of his own on day one of camp and thought he might have to leave.

He said that he had a "full-blown" panic attack on the first day.

"I had a full-blown panic attack on the first day, and people were coming up to me and asking 'why are you being so quiet' and I was like 'I don't know, I don't know what's going on', and it took me a bit of time to acclimatise because I was so overwhelmed with the whole experience," he added.

"It's a really weird experience when you first get in there, really, really weird, but everyone is so nice."

Since returning from the Australian bush, Sam has only had one day of down time for the birthday of his girlfriend, Zara McDermott, 26.

He was seen to have splashed out £3k on a designer bag to celebrate the milestone after the duo were reunited.
