Craig continued: “I will often grab a protein shake on the run because when I first started doing this job I did put on about a stone because I was eating in hotels. Even though I was working there was this beautiful hotel buffet and it just got ridiculous."
Craig said that he realised quickly, "I can't keep doing this," so he began watching what he ate, choosing chicken and fish as "good choices" on the road.
The A Place in The Sun star added: "I just realised early on I can't keep doing this. So I will often take protein shakes, I'll just try and make good choices - chicken and fish when I'm away. I’ll have a salad. I mean if there's a gym occasionally, I'll get a chance to get to one after work.”
According to Craig, he still finds time to do "a little yoga and some push-ups" no matter what time he finishes filming.
It's just a matter of doing the best he can, and he joked about staying away from the French and Spanish cakes.
