But things quickly got out of hand between rivals Jordan and Luke - which resulted in the pair having to be separated by security.

Jordan told The Sun that Luke became aggressive and "physical" following some harmless banter - saying the sales executive then lashed out and "scratched him in the eye".

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Jordan said: "I found out that Luke was going to the event the day before, I thought this was going to be interesting as there has been genuine disrespect shown and I was apprehensive about how we were going to around each other.

"But I always have fate that I'm going to control myself, whenever there has been altercations, it's always him who has lost control.

"When we got there, I saw Luke but I wanted to keep my distance and go through the night without any drama.

"Because we're training in camp to fight each other, our mindset is when we see each other then it's going to be war. But I know there is a time and a place and it obviously was not last night."

He then revealed exactly what lead to the altercation, saying: "There was one time when we were close to each other and a lot of the MAFS cast would joke about it and say 'go easy boys, behave and stuff'," in reference to their upcoming charity boxing match.

"Luke was a bit awkward, he kept repeating 'p****' and I said 'I hope your training is going well'.

"We don't need to insult each other, keep the fighting talk to another time.

"He was still saying 'p****' but that was the best we could handle it, we don't like each other but lets make a joke of it.

"That was the first altercation, I don't know whether he's had more drinks but he's losing his temper more but the next time we're around each other - I've got a shot glass and me and a few of the other MAFS cast were raising a glass.

"Luke was giving me weird looks throughout the night...because he was looking at me and giving me a weird look, someone said 'what should we cheers to?' and I said 'cheers to when I knock Luke out of February the 9th'

"I'm still smiling because that's the vibe I thought we were on and then he started saying 'p****' but this time instead of smiling, he's really angry and his face has turned.

"There is a couple of people in between us and he's reached over and poked me in the eye."

Jordan then showed us the injury in the left eye and said he cannot understand what warranted that kind of outburst from Luke.

"He scratched my eye, I don't know what he tried to do but he scratched my eyeball," Jordan continued.

"When someone is scratching your eyeball, instincts take over and you don't have time to react, so I'm holding the drink.

"He said I 'threw my drink in his face', but I've just gone 'you've poked my eye and I've thrown my drink', it's hit him in the face and I'm like 'what you doing? Why have you just scratched my eye?'

"We were having a good time, we were having a good night, up until he turned physical again and he scratched my eye."

Jordan then revealed the shock consequence from the injury and said:"I couldn't see out of it for a few seconds, so I'm thinking what else is this guy going to do?

"He's already tried to fight me on the show on TV, there's nothing stopping me trying to fight me now.

"I'm thinking that I'm basically going to protect myself, that's why I threw the drink in his face."

He explained that his "eye was dodgy for a minute or two, saying: "It was blurry and didn't feel like it was aligned with my vision. It was blurred and I was off centre for a minute of two.

"He's a dirty fighter - all it takes is for him to get the retina and he could have blinded me."

Jordan explained that Luke seemingly wanted to continue the fight but was given a warning by security.

"The people at the event were really good, the way they handled it, checking that I was alright," he said.

"I think he got a bit of a warning to not get physical. We weren't around each other for the rest of the night.

Despite the incident, Jordan said he continued to party with his co-stars and girlfriend Ericd until around 11.30pm.

But admitted Luke's behaviour was out of order, he told us: "What took it over the top was him trying to hurt me and turn it physical and hurt my eye, I don't know what he was trying to do."

Jordan's girlfriend Erica then explained that Luke tried to start on her boyfriend a second time that night.

He went on: "After people got in between us, he tried to come for me.

"He's almost a bit of a thug where he doesn't care if people get caught up in violence and that's what I don't like.

"There is a bar and you have to walk round the other side and tried to get to me."

Jordan then addressed the video that Luke posted late last night - where he blasted the personal trainer as a "psychopath" and said he "tried to slap him".

"He was trying to get physical. He's just a bit of a thug. He's clearly drunk on the way home from an event," the Sheffield lad said.

";It just shows the type of guy he is, he has no composure, he just acts off the cuff and loses all sense of control.

"I can admit I threw the drink in his face because after he scratched my eye of course I'm going to react but I don't remember trying to slap him.

"The last thing I want to do is one - not cause any drama at these events, two - to not do it around Erica, and three - I want to wait for Feb 9th, I don't want to put anything in jeopardy.

"I want there to be a proper setting where there is a referee, it's governed, a ring and we're doing it for the right reasons.

"I don't remember trying to slap him and I can't imagine my mindset being 'I want to hit this guy', that's why I didn't go for him.

"I retaliated based on instincts but I didn't try and go for him."

Jordan laughed off comments from Luke branding him a "psychopath" and said: "The guy is filming himself drunk on the way home screaming at his phone, calling some a psychopath, he's probably shown more traits of someone being a psychopath than I have on MAFS.

"He's getting more and more ridiculous and more and more embarrassing."

Jordan said the charity boxing match will be going ahead in February despite last night's bust-up.

The star said: "This is more motivation for me to punish him for the way he keeps disrespecting me, disrespecting Erica.

"He doesn't know that he could have blinded me by scratching my eyeball. still bloodshot, in terms of vision it's okay now."

Jordan also said he won't be taking the incident further.

He added: "He just keeps acting in a way with no class. The way I want to punish him is in the ring.

"He's tried to ruin my relationship with. He's scratched my eyeball and tried to fight me at an event - I could press charges but he's going to get what's coming to him on Feb 9th and that's the way I want to punish him and that's the consequences of his actions."

Jordan said the boxing match might help them build a bridge to becoming civil but he'll never forgive Luke for way he's behaved.

He concluded: "Maybe at the end we do touch gloves and have that bit of respect. Last night showed why we're doing it, we can get it all out of our system and he can't keep getting away with it.

"Then maybe because we've let it all out and when I do knock it out, he won't come up to me at an event because he knows what will happen and two, we've already taken it out on each other in the ring.

"After that he'll go quiet, he'll be embarrassed about losing and go into hiding.

"He won't want to fight me in a public space ever again after the boxing match.

"Hopefully he learns how to conduct himself properly and learns a bit of respect where he's not scratching eyeballs and by the time he comes out of hiding everyone would have forgotten about him.

"We don't obsess over him like he obsesses over us."

Jordan said he is "confident he is going to win" and said: "Losing is not an option, there is no way what this man has done to me and the way he has disrespected me and Erica, there is no way he's going to beat me.

"The only way he'd beat me, is if he blinded me in one eye and I'd still give myself a 70 per cent chance of winning."
