LOVE Actually and The Holiday are both popular watches at Christmas - and fans are convinced they have spotted a secret crossover between them.

Eagle-eyed movie buffs are certain that two actresses from Love Actually went on to star in The Holiday three years later.

Although the festive flicks had different directors, fans seem convinced that casting bods signed them both up for each movie.

The girls will be best known as Sophie and Olivia - the young daughters belonging to Jude Law's character Graham in The Holiday.

Three years earlier, in a scene in Love Actually, two girls who look very similar to actresses Miffy Englefield and Emma Pritchard appeared too.

It came when The Prime Minister, played by Hugh Grant, knocked on doors looking for his tea lady Natalie (Martine McCutcheon).

Three little girls dressed as princesses and fairies open the door to their house and ask The Prime Minister if he is going to sing Christmas carols.

One fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "The little girls who ask Hugh Grant to sing carols in Love Actually are Jude Law's kids in The Holiday."

Another admitted: "Wait, I don’t think I knew that either…."

And someone else chimed in: "I've seen both movies a bunch of times, but for some reason it never clicked?"

There is some doubt on whether the fans have actually got it right, however, as Love Actually does not appear on either of Miffy and Emma's IMDB acting profiles.

Meanwhile, Miffy was just six years old when she was cast as Jude Law's eldest daughter in The Holiday.

The actress is now 24 years old and has her own little girl. She is also unrecognisable with jet black hair.

Miffy recently looked back at her starring role in The Holiday and told : "It was it was very surreal, you know, we came from quite a poor background, living in a  council house.

"It was very, very different to the life that me and my dad knew and being on a film set was very surreal."

She added: "Me and my dad didn't realise how big the film was going to be at home.

"So to get messages coming up 20 years on, which makes me feel incredibly old, that people look forward to it. It's like their Christmas tradition, they come home to their family and that's what they watch."

Miffy's co-star Emma, meanwhile, has turned her back on acting and - now aged 21 - keeps a low profile on social media too.
