Netflix recently shared detailed statistics for the first time after facing criticism for not being open about its ratings

In the report, covering nearly 20,000 titles released between January and June 2023, the spy thriller The Night Agent emerged as the top-watched show with a staggering 812 million hours logged.

Other popular titles included the second season of Ginny & Georgia, the Korean drama The Glory, the 2022 hit Wednesday, and the Bridgerton spin-off Queen Charlotte.

However, the inclusion of Shadow and Bone in the top 30 rankings sparked outrage as the series had been recently cut by Netflix.

The decision to cancel the show came just a week after the ending of the Hollywood actors' strike.

But it seems like Netflix put its foot down when it came to Shadow and Bone, despite it racking up 193 million views.

Even though the series was a success, it was cancelled, making it the highest-ranking casualty on the list.

Interestingly, all the shows ranked higher than it were spared, leaving fans wondering why Shadow and Bone got the short end of the stick.

Furious fans took to X/Twitter to express their frustration.

One wrote: "Shadow and Bone season 2 being 26 on list and Netflix still cancelled."

A second added: "Shadow and Bone was number 26 on the list, but Netflix still want to play games, why?"

A third raged: "There is clearly enough demand for Netflix to make SOMETHING work, even if it is with a lower budget.”

A fourth fumed: "How are they just getting rid of Shadow and Bone like that, it has so many views, sort it out Netflix!!!!"

A fifth complained: "They need to review their decision, Shadow and Bone does not deserve to get the axe."
