Strictly Come Dancing star Zara McDermott has opened up about how she avoided the show's famous curse.
The former Love Islander explained she couldn't believe romances would ever get off the ground given the pairs are constantly surrounded by cameras.
On the , Zara said: "It’s really weird. The Strictly curse is a thing that people talk about that I physically can’t understand.
"I can’t understand how there is a Strictly curse. I became really good friends with my partner."
The Strictly star - who is in a relationship with I'm A Celeb winner and Made In Chelsea favourite Sam Thompson - also hinted that she clashed with her pro dance partner, Graziano Di Prima, off camera.
She admitted that they ‘bickered’ like siblings.

She said: "You very quickly become like brother and sister and you kind of have that bickery relationship. Also there are cameras in the room most of the time with you.
"For me, it was not the environment for anything like that to ever happen.
"I guess it has happened in the past, but people have affairs and relationships in the office all the time, so I feel like proportionately it probably doesn’t happen that differently."
Earlier today, Zara and her boyfriend Sam Thompson were happily reunited following the I'm A Celeb final.
