Geordie Shore legend rushed to hospital with suspected pneumonia after weeks of illness
The reality star revealed the terrifying moment that made her realise she needed to go to hospital
CHARLOTTE Crosby has been rushed to hospital with suspected pneumonia.
The Geordie Shore legend had an emergency dash to A&E after being unable to shake an illness for almost six weeks.
Charlotte, 33, told fans she had been in and out of medical appointments yesterday after finding it hard to shake a chest infection.
She shared a snap of herself in a tracksuit at home where she updated fans on her current health scare.
Charlotte wrote: “It’s been a very long 5/6 weeks of on and off coughing/ chest infections. And the whole time I’ve been struggling I’ve been doing the very most work wise.
“Travelling up and down the country, trains, cars and almost planes. A couple of occasions even losing my entire voice at work. I’ve not been able to carry out some of the stuff I’ve had to.”
Charlotte then added a camera emoji to suggest she had had to cancel some filming commitments.
She continued: “Only last week it just got so bad it was unbearable. Not even having 1 minute in between coughing fits! After 2 courses of antibiotics failed to shift anything I finally realised I had to slow the f*** down and get to hospital…
“So that’s where I spent most of yesterday in and out of drs and hospital! with suspected pneumonia.”
Fortunately, Charlotte revealed she has since been discharged and it unclear as to whether the pneumonia was officially diagnosed.
“I’ve been able to come home now and rest at home with a new course of antibiotics. So this is where I shall be for the forseeable…”
The star couldn’t resist getting a plug in for her clothing brand, however, adding that she would be wearing her Pepper Girls’ Club tracksuit while recovering.
Charlotte can currently been seen on air in the second series of her BBC Three show, Charlotte in Sunderland.
She quit Geordie Shore after blazing rows with her castmates while filming the upcoming series.
She left filming in Cyprus early after a row over a baby highchair spiralled out of control.
The Newcastle lass has since opened up about her sadness over how it all ended.
She said: “It just ended up going so terribly wrong. I don’t know why but the whole series, I later discovered, was a bit weird.
“I’m sad for loads of reasons. I’m sad that I took Alba and Jake, my family, into a show that I loved so much and it went so badly wrong.
“I feel like I could cry talking about it. I felt an immense amount of guilt for not knowing better. I just thought we were going to have such a good time.”
Speaking on her podcast, she said: “There was a silly argument, over a high chair of all things, that escalated. And I just left.
I just needed to get out of that environment. I’d never raised my voice in front of Alba ever, and I did in this argument, and I was like, ‘Oh God, I feel absolutely terrible.’ I’ve never gotten that angry and wound up.”
Breaking down in tears, she added: “As a mam, you feel so guilty. I was riddled with guilt. I felt anxious, I felt guilty. I think in the weeks I came out of the show I just felt awful. I was so worried. Had I made a bad decision going in there with my family?
“For that reason, I definitely don’t think I could be involved going forward again, which is so sad. It’s not because of any particular person, and it’s not because I wouldn’t go back because I don’t want to be with them.”
