AS Not Going Out makes a Christmas special comeback, Lee Mack has confirmed its future.
The comedian and actor has addressed the future of his long-standing BBC sitcom.
Comedian Lee, 54, previously revealed to The Sun how Not Going Out's future is very much in doubt.
The show has followed Lee’s misadventures since 2006 and has hit peaks of over six millions viewers.
But fans will be delighted to know that, in honor of its 100th episode, the show is doing a Christmas special.
Speaking at a screening of the Christmas episode, Lee revealed that "discussions are ongoing" with the BBC about more episodes.

The star said: "I'm not sure about another 100 [episodes], but discussions are ongoing now and we will be back with you shortly with some more information, one way or the other!
There's a chance the beloved BBC show could make a comeback, as the actor admitted he'd 'love to do more'.
Lee added: "We're talking about it now. I'd love to do more, I love doing it, it's great fun, I love the cast but [...] it's not always my decision, these things. I just wait for someone to say, 'There's a bag of money, get on with it.'"
In the 100th episode of Not Going Out, Lee and Lucy invite a lonely pensioner to join them for Christmas dinner, but Lee's plans for a perfect holiday quickly go awry.

Over the years Not Going Out has starred everyone from Hugh Dennis and Megan Dodds to Miranda Hart, Tim Vine and Bobby Ball.
Reflecting on its success in 2018, Lee said: “Everyone told me that British sitcom was dead.
“Then I looked at Seinfeld and Frasier and thought, ‘No it’s not, it just needs more gags.’”
