THINGS are going from bad to worse for Mackenzie Boyd after his actions caused Chloe Harris to escape the Dales with her son Reuben.
The Emmerdale heartthrob found himself in an isolated location tied to a chair. But his ordeal takes a horrific turn in future scenes.
ITV viewers have grown increasingly frustrated with Lawrence Robb's on-screen alter ego.
After a fight with Charity, Mackenzie found himself tied to a chair in an abandoned factory.
In scenes due to air on our screens later this month, inside the gloomy factory, there's no sign of Mackenzie, just the chair he was once bound to.
Could Mack's captor be getting rid of him?
More Emmerdale
As viewers of the Yorkshire-based program will remember, Mackenzie cheated on his wife Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) with Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland).
The hunk then tried to avoid his responsibilities by keeping his tryst with the fiery redhead a secret.
This became harder to manage when he learned she was pregnant with his child.
Torn between his love for Charity and his dream of becoming a father to baby Reuben, who was born just as he was tying the knot with the Woolpack landlady, Mackenzie was eventually exposed and left alone to deal with his own issues.

Mack then embarked on a relationship with Chloe, going as far as to get engaged to her in a shocking turn of events.
But after refusing to save her from death in favour of Charity, he started to realise he may not be in the relationship for the right reasons.
Eventually, Mackenzie came to terms with his own feelings and broke Chloe's heart by ending their engagement.
Fuming after realising she'd been strung along, Chloe took action and left the eponymous village with their son Reuben.
