SOME I'm A Celeb fans erupted in cheers as Nigel Farage was finally booted out of the show.

The former UKIP politician came in third place behind reality TV star Sam Thompson and Championship boxer Tony Bellew.

Ant and Dec made their way into camp to announce who was the first star to be evicted in the final.

After thousands of votes, Nigel, 59, was announced to come in third place.

He was greeted by the presenting pair as he made his way out of the I'm A Celebrity camp.

But some fans couldn't help but express their joy at the surprising result as they took to X - formerly known as Twitter, to express their joy.

Some bitter fans even thought that This Morning presenter Josie Gibson deserved to be in the final three instead of the broadcaster

One fan claimed: "Thank god Nigel did not make top 2. Josie should still be their but Sam and Tony is a great top 2. SAM TO WIN! #ImACeleb."

A second user stated: "Never forget how funny josie is #ImACeleb."

Whilst a third said: "Brilliant final 2!! Wish Josie and Danielle was there too tho #ImACeleb."

"Josie should have been in the final 3 #ImACeleb," stated a fourth.

And a fifth noted: "Come on though even people who wanted Nigel to win MUST have known he would be 3rd because Tony and Sam just have been SO popular overall."

The politician was all smiles as he chatted to Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnely as he reflected on his time in the jungle.

Before he met his girlfriend Laure Ferrari at the end of the famous bridge, he picked his winner of the series.
